Breaking From The Shadows is an aptly titled first effort for the Milwaukee-based KatieBeth. The album opens with the bluesy, swirly, hip swinger “I Will Survive” that’s based on a guitar hook very reminiscent of Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats.” The album slides along without much fanfare for a bit, but the highlights are definitely in the middle. -American Country Magazine May 2009

I love to sing, dance, perform, write music and pretty much anything that involves me on stage. The music I am inspired to make is country rock all the way, with influences from Keith Urban, Pink, Rob Thomas, Heart, Garth Brooks, Saving Jane & Sugarland. It is something different, and new, and I am so proud of this music, it is me in every line and guitar lick. My family and close friends have always been supportive of everything I am doing and trying to accomplish which I am so thankful for because without them I wouldn't be where I am. ~
